PRESS RELEASE: 11th December 2014
NES Global Talent has acquired Energy People, a leading provider of consultancy, advisory and manpower solutions to the energy industry in Norway.
It is NES Global Talent’s second acquisition in Norway, following the purchase of technical consultancy and staffing solutions provider RC Consultants (RCC) earlier this year, and will further strengthen the company’s market position in the region. Both Energy People and RCC will rebrand as NES Global Talent.
Energy People, headquartered in Sandnes, Norway, was established by the previous management team of RCC. Collectively, its recruiters have more than 75 years’ experience in placing engineers with operators and contractor companies operating on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Steve Buckley, Group CFO at NES Global Talent, said: “Energy People is well respected by the Norwegian energy industry. The management team is extremely strong and we are looking forward to welcoming the company’s employees on board and working together to become the leading manpower solutions provider in Norway. We are focused on sustainable growth and are committed to providing an excellent level of service to our clients, contractors and candidates. Together, our businesses will be stronger and able to offer an improved and expanded range of services.”
Kenny Davies, Major Project Sales Director at NES Global Talent, said: “The acquisitions of Energy People and RCC will allow us to significantly expand our business. We have an experienced team on board with the necessary skills and experience to make the most of the framework agreements we have in place. We are excited about the future and are confident that we will achieve our aim of becoming the top oil and gas manpower provider in Norway over the next few years.”
Terje Pedersen, Managing Director of Energy People, said: “The merger of Energy People and NES Global Talent creates a powerful local engineering consultancy and manpower service provider. We now have the capacity to offer our clients a unique service proposition drawing upon the resources of over 40 offices around the world. We are able to ensure that our clients have access to the expertise and experience required to move their projects forward, regardless of location.
