Senior Cost and Planning Engineer

Senior Cost and Planning Engineer  
-  Provide Cost Engineering, Planning and Scheduling and Risk Management support to Asset Teams, in particular the critical review of partned received reports. Develop Company view on cost, schedule, risks taking into account Company drivers and objectives.  
- Proactively contribute, challenge and support Asset Teams in their daily work and related deliverables  
- Actively participate and contribute in License Committee Meetings (TC, MC) and Workshops  
- Provide Project Services input to reports such as the Executive summary (post TG2), MCP report (pre TG2), MTP, Asset Plans, Portfolio Planning  
- Develop and maintain Integrated Asset Plan(s) per Asset and for Company Management    
- Act as the focal point for the Integrated Risk Management process in Company maintaining key risks for Assets and Company Management    
- Liaise with Project Managers and Asset Managers to ensure consistency in cost estimating, cost engineering, planning and scheduling and risk management activities  
- Monitor, review and comment on Operator's Project Services deliverables (cost, schedule, risk) and support Company Asset Managers for gate reviews and decision gates  
- Ensure that schedules, cost estimates and risk registers are in accordance with Company functional requirements  
- Plan and perform Company Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis for relevant Non Operated projects by engaging and coordinating contribution from other PS resources in Company/Head Office to deliver company view on cost, schedule and risk    
- Develop, own and implement necessary Non Operated Project Services framework (procedural library) hereunder cost engineering, cost estimating, planning and scheduling, risk management, reporting, schedule and cost benchmarking, etc.  
- Regularly communicate and align with interfaces in Head Office, Peers and the Community of Practise for alignment and knowledge transfer  
- Support Company operated projects in Project Services related topics as required  
- Demonstrate a strong leadership and commitment to HSE  
- Ability to judge and assess planning and cost risks (through deterministic or probabilistic risk analysis) in cost estimates.  
- Strong analytical skills & excellent written and verbal communications skills in English. Knowledge of Norwegian or German is an advantage.  
- Familiar with network planning structures and techniques, with knowledge of Primavera Project Planner (P6).  
- Proficient with the use of standard office software such as Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint. Understanding the concepts of @Risk/CrystalBall and/or Primavera Risk Analysis tools is an advantage.  
- Must have a “Team attitude”, be self-motivated and be willing to support other groups and projects when required.  
- Ability and willingness to occationally travel to Head Office for carrying out cost and schedule reviews, meet the functions and liaise with the community of practise.    
- Ability to interact with specialist engineers, project teams and partners is essential.    
- Ability to apply consistent cost & planning methodologies and deal appropriately with detail.  
- Having worked with a project control system like PIMS is an advantage  
- Experience with cost engineering and planning for partner operated assets and projects.
